I must admit I was not excited for the Super Bowl this year. I can safely say that this was the least interested I have ever been. My team, the Bears, were out of it. I was not interested in watching New England win for the 5th time. But I have to say that my expectations were exceeded. Kuddos to Tom Brady and the Patriots.
What a great comeback! I had left the TV on and paid it passing interest. I figured the game was over (like most people) when the score was 28-3. I even wrote a Facebook post about how the Bears whooped New England just like the Falcons were doing. But the Patriots fought back and made it one of the most exciting Super Bowls ever.
While there have been some Super Bowl snoozers. There have also been some incredibly exciting games. I don’t know if it is just me, but the most recent Super Bowls have seemed much more competitive than ones from the past.
On a side note, the Super Bowl Comeback reminded me a bit of the World Series this past year. There was a certain team from Chicago that was down 3 games to 1. Most people counted them out. They came back to tie the series up. And the end, Game 7 alone was not enough, but required extra innings.
